Rivalry Saturday

So when Thanksgiving Day is over and Black Friday shopping is done it is time for a letdown. Are you kidding me??? The Saturday after Thanksgiving will be Rivalry Saturday for College Football. What better way to cap off a holiday weekend than to watch epic games throughout the day. To improve on the experience, host a rivalry football watching party. You know you can do it and have a lot of fun with it. First you need to decide whom to invite. If one of your potential invitees is an ardent and obnoxious fan, you need to consider other guests tolerance levels before inviting that person. Realize too that since it is a holiday weekend, you may lose prospects to other commitments.

Once you have people committed to take part you need to plan your menu. Chips, dips and drinks are easy fare. What about kicking it up a notch with homemade chili, smoked wings and some tasty deserts? You can even have a potluck flare by asking everyone to bring something of their choice. It may be a smorgasbord, but it should be a great one.

Games…some key rivalry games scheduled for this Saturday are:

  • Georgia Tech at Georgia
  • NC State at North Carolina
  • Notre Dame at USC
  • Purdue at Indiana
  • Stanford at UCLA
  • Tennessee at Vanderbilt
  • Kentucky at Louisville
  • Florida at Florida State
  • South Carolina at Clemson
  • Michigan at Ohio State
  • And of Course THE IRON BOWL

So get everything ready for your guests to appear. Once the day is done you can be happy to have enjoyed it with friends both new and old no matter the outcome of the games.
